Use any picture frame in your house to display this free downloadable winter painting art printable to enjoy from Christmas until spring.
It’s been a hot minute since I shared a free art printable (there have been a LOT of printables here on this blog over the years).
Our breakfast nook wall was just begging for pretty winter art of some kind, and I stumbled upon a gorgeous winter scene painting in public domain archives. (If you don’t know about that vintage art finding trick, you can see more about how to find free art from archives here.)
Winter Painting Free Art Printable
It seemed like a good opportunity to share the winter painting with anyone else out there who loves to change up their wall art around Christmas and into the colder months.

Why Winter Art is the Easier Choice at Christmas
I love framing snow art as opposed to Christmas-specific art around the holidays because it gives me the flexibility to keep it on display until spring arrives in March.
Decorate smarter not harder, right? That’s the motto around here always. 😉
This French painting is called “Piette’s House at Montfoucault” by Camille Pissarro that I found in The Clark Museum archives and cleaned up a little bit with editing to make it suitable for printing as wall art.
Robert loves it especially because of the light yellow house in the middle of the winter scene that reminds him so much of his own childhood home that is painted yellow. So it feels extra special hanging on our breakfast nook wall in that regard.

Where to Print
1. Low Quality Option: If choosing 8×10 or smaller, you can print the winter painting directly to your home printer, if you have one, from your phone or laptop.
2. Mid-Range Quality Option: Use a same-day in-store print service such as OfficeDepot.com, Staples.com, Walgreens.com. or CVS.com (most printing options will be glossy for same-day however).
3. High Quality Option: Use mpix.com, Shutterfly.com, or ArtifactUprising.com for matte, professional level art printing.
You can decide what budget timing, and quality of the above three printing options work best for you.
Christmas Breakfast Nook Decor
I just temporarily popped my year-round oil painting out of my thrifted picture frame and set the winter art printed on foam board at Office Depot into the frame with painter’s tape on the backing. Ta da! Done.
And of course I had to add pine garland, orange garland, and a little bit of ribbon for good measure.
I found a gorgeous brass and green marble serving board at an antique shop a couple of weeks ago and fell in love! So it needed the spotlight on our breakfast nook table with a vase of faux winter greenery.
Maybe I’ll add twinkle lights later for a little extra magic too.
